Washita River Bridge Replacements
This project includes the replacement of four existing truss bridges over the Washita River. Bridge spans range from 90’-200’, including both simple and continuous span designs. The projects also include varying degrees of roadway improvements. Two of the sites widen from two lanes to a four-lane facility. Services provided by CEC include survey, bridge design, roadway design, traffic control and project sequencing. Below is a summary of each project:
SH-19 over Washita River in Grady County
Construction of a four span (100’-172’-172’-100’) continuous plate girder bridge, with 0.9 miles of asphalt roadway approach.
SH-74 over Washita River in Garvin County
Construction of a four span (90’-200’-125’-125’) P.C. beam and steel plate girder bridge with 0.9 miles of asphalt roadway approaches
US-77 over Washita River in Garvin County
Construction of a four lane, five span (90’-90’-200’-200’-90’) P.C. beam and continuous steel plate girder bridge with 0.9 miles of asphalt roadway approaches.
SH-76 over Washita River in Garvin County
Construction of a four lane, four span (90’-190’-200’-190’) steel I-beam and continuous steel plate girder bridge with 0.6 miles of asphalt roadway approaches.
