Pole Loading Analysis in Texas
CEC performed Pole Loading Analysis on 1200 Xcel Energy poles in Amarillo, TX. Our team analyzed poles based off LiDAR and GIS data using commercially available software. Conforming to Xcel’s standards, we analyzed the poles using 2012 NESC Heavy guidelines (Concurrent 40 mph wind and 0.50” ice loading) Grade B Construction.
Our team acquired all documentation necessary for fiber attachment permits, including maps of the fiber route, PLA reports for every pole with PE stamp, and consolidating data from each pole into a spreadsheet required by Xcel Energy.
