Park Community-Kingfisher
CEC designed a 20-mile long 138kV transmission line from Kingfisher Switch Station to Park Community Substation to Omega Substation. The line was a mixture of new line and a re-build of existing 69kV line. Six miles of the 20-mile line located in Kingfisher County was new construction. The line was built using single pole RUS construction and included 14 self-supporting structures. The project was necessary due to growing load demands from the oil and gas industry in the area. The timeline was accelerated, and CEC worked with WFEC to expedite design and order long lead items as soon as possible. CEC designed according to RUS and WFEC standards. Design features included:
- Damper recommendations and drawings developed
- Highway crossing drawings created
- Design included 14 self-supporting structures
- RUS bid and material units developed
- 3D PLS-CADD and PLS-Pole models developed
- Survey and structure staking completed by CEC
