US-270 Widening

The corridor was split into several construction projects. The first project begins north of the town of Seiling at the US-270/US-183 junction and proceeds southerly approximately 3.5 miles through the town of Seiling. This was a turn key project to widen US-270 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes with several constraints and challenges in Seiling. The bridge over Seiling Creek was widened symmetrically to accommodate 4 lanes of traffic.

The second project was an additional 1.5 miles of 4 lane undivided construction to the south of Seiling. This project also included a symmetric widening of the bridge over Cheyenne Creek.

The last 4 miles consisted of a 4 lane divided facility with improvements to the existing lanes to accomplish needed safety improvements.
