CEC is a Top Workplace that offers excellent benefits, professional development and growth opportunities for employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Under limited supervision, observes construction work and submits detailed daily documentation of contractor activities and progress, materials quantities, site visitors, instructions given, and conditions that may relate to change order items.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Research contract requirements to determine whether construction work is performed in substantial compliance with plans, specifications and special provisions.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Inspects materials and components of roadway and\/or bridge projects, work in progress, and finished construction to ensure all applicable standards and safety codes are met.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Reviews or generates pay applications for ultimate payment by client.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Coordinates project testing lab resources to ensure quality assurance testing is performed per contract requirements.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Maintains equipment and vehicle in good working condition and reports problems or repairs needed in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Use of personal smart phone for company services such as project communication, truck maintenance, mileage tracking, and other departmental tasks.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures, including using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COMPETENCIES<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Problem solving\/analysis<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Technical capacity<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Personal effectiveness\/credibility<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Thoroughness<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and clean driving record.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>HCMTCB Materials Sampling and Testing Certification preferred.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>English language skills:&nbsp; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively to CEC employees and clients.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Mathematical skills:&nbsp; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.&nbsp; Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Reasoning skills: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, specifically Microsoft Office. &nbsp;Site Manager knowledge preferred.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Organizational skills:&nbsp;
