This position will directly support CEC\u2019s mission to eliminate aging infrastructure and drive community growth by delivering quality solutions, design, and service to its clients. CEC\u2019s Transportation team has a long history of state and local agency transportation services consisting of technical expertise from our Oklahoma offices and emerging offices in Texas and Arkansas.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participate in a collaborative environment that provides ample opportunities for learning, growth and career path alternatives in design, management, and leadership. Enhance your knowledge with new experiences in a broad range of structure types from the design of conventional grade separations to complex flyover bridges to major open water crossings,&nbsp;and including structural&nbsp;assessments, load ratings, and asset management. Collaborate on technical and management challenges with engineering leaders to develop solutions that are sound and verified through team cooperation and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected candidate is expected to have three or more years of experience in the transportation industry with structural engineering experience relating to the design and maintenance of bridges, culverts, and retaining walls for transportation projects. This position also requires experience in construction document preparation and knowledge of project management.&nbsp;In this role you will perform design and analysis as well as other structural engineering tasks for transportation structures and components associated with our client transportation needs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h3>\n\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Serve as project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Develop feasible engineering design alternatives to meet project requirements.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Prepare structural calculations, modeling, analysis, and design.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Perform field visits to inspect existing structures and identify necessary repairs.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Participate in meetings with clients and project team meetings.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Prepare contract documents including technical reports, studies, plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and permitting for projects.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Utilize computer software to create or assist in the creation of detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts, including, but not limited to, plan and profile views, cross sections, details and schedules, for the construction of bridge components, such as decks, steel and concrete beams, bearings, piers, abutments and foundations.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Conduct quality review of structural calculations and contract documents.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Maintain accurate design standards and procedures in assigned work.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Maintain project records and perform project administration.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Collaborate and coordinate with other engineers, designers, and technicians on project activities.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Coordinate with Department leadership and Accounting regarding project invoicing and collections.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Provide technical support, guidance, and input to project team.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Develop, foster, and maintain client relationships. If not licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, and\/or Arkansas, must be able to obtain licenses within six months of start date.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Project experience with Oklahoma DOT, Texas DOT and\/or Arkansas DOT preferred.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Experience in structural detailing in AutoCAD and\/or MicroStation software preferred.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Experience with structural design software such as Bentley OpenBridge and MDX preferred.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and clean driving record.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Good organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize and organize tasks; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"b40-list-block\">\n<li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
